By accessing or using our mobile application or website (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Applicable Scope
These Terms apply to users accessing or using Tapioi within the United States.
Scope of Service
Tapioi is an online shopping platform operated by an individual developer similar to a supermarket, primarily offering frequently purchased and consumable goods, including but not limited to:
- Laundry and cleaning products
- Beauty and personal care items
- Tissues and paper products
- Beverages
- Snacks and candies
- Condiments and seasonings
- Sanitary products and diapers
- Other daily necessities
Through the Platform, users may:
- Browse and purchase products online
- Use NFC, barcode, or QR code scanning tools to assist with shopping
- Manage shopping carts and orders
Scanning Tools Notice:
NFC functionality and QR code scanning are scanning tools only and do not activate or sell the product itself. Users must not misuse, alter, or maliciously redirect NFC or QR code links. Please ensure your device supports the relevant scanning functionality before purchasing. Tapioi is not responsible if the device cannot use these features due to hardware incompatibility. Please refer to our Refund & Return Policy for such cases.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity to use the Platform. By using Tapioi, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Account Responsibility
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials.
- You agree to notify Tapioi immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
- Tapioi is not responsible for losses resulting from failure to secure your account.
Pricing & Payment
- Product prices and availability may change without notice.
- Payment must be completed through the platform’s provided methods (Stripe, credit/debit card, etc.).
- Receipts will be issued according to the payment provider’s policies.
- Tapioi uses Stripe to process payments. Your credit card information is not stored on our servers.
- By placing an order, you agree to provide accurate billing, shipping, and payment information.
- Tapioi reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order, including suspected fraud or errors.
- Promotional items, discounts, or bundled offers may be subject to additional terms.
Rewards & Points Program
Tapioi may offer a rewards or points program that allows users to earn points through eligible purchases, promotions, or other activities.
- Points have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, or resold unless required by law.
- Points may be redeemed for discounts or promotional benefits as determined by Tapioi.
- Tapioi may modify, suspend, or terminate the rewards program at any time, including earning rates, redemption rules, or expiration periods.
- Unless otherwise specified, points may expire after a period of inactivity or time.
Gift Cards & Store Credits
Tapioi may offer digital gift cards or store credits that can be purchased at a discount or earned through promotions.
- Gift cards and store credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred, except where required by law.
- Gift cards and store credits are non-refundable and may only be used for eligible purchases on the Tapioi Platform.
- Tapioi reserves the right to impose expiration dates, usage limitations, or modify gift card terms in accordance with applicable laws.
Shipping & Delivery
- Tapioi will make reasonable efforts to ship orders promptly.
- Delivery times may vary based on location and availability.
- Users are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.
- Tapioi is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or incorrect addresses.
- Shipping damage or lost packages may qualify for refund or replacement per our Refund Policy.
Returns & Refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by Tapioi’s Refund & Return Policy.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge and accept all return conditions, timelines, exclusions, and shipping cost responsibilities.
To initiate a return, users must contact customer support through the Platform or designated email. Supporting information (e.g., photos) may be required.
User-Generated Content
Users may submit reviews, comments, or images.
- Content must not be illegal, misleading, infringing, or harmful.
- By submitting content, you grant Tapioi a non-exclusive right to display and use such content for platform-related purposes.
Prohibited Use
Users agree not to:
- Violate laws or regulations
- Interfere with the Platform or servers
- Misuse scanning tools (NFC, barcode, QR codes)
- Engage in fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity
Intellectual Property
All content, logos, images, and software on Tapioi are the property of Tapioi or used with permission and protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
- Tapioi is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free service.
- Tapioi’s total liability will not exceed the amount paid by the user for the relevant transaction.
Privacy & Data Usage
Tapioi collects and uses personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Tapioi may analyze purchasing behavior and preferences to improve services and product offerings. Any future personalized recommendations will comply with applicable privacy laws and provide users with appropriate choices where required.
Changes to Terms
Tapioi may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
